Best Etsy Chrome Extension
for Listing Optimization

Almost every Etsy extension shows you data. Only two of them write the listing. Here is what each one actually does once it is installed.

⚡ Quick Answer

Etsy Chrome extensions fall into two groups, and most buying confusion comes from treating them as one.

Research extensions — EverBee, eRank, Alura, Sale Samurai, EtsyHunt — overlay data on Etsy pages while you browse: estimated sales, keyword volume, competitor performance. They tell you what to do.

Writing extensions — ListsGenie and ListifyAI — generate the listing itself: the title, all 13 tags and the description. They do the part the research tools hand back to you.

If listings sit unwritten, a research extension will not fix that. If you do not know what to sell, a writing extension will not fix that either.

The two kinds of Etsy extension

Install four Etsy extensions and you will notice something: three of them show you roughly the same numbers. Estimated monthly sales, keyword search volume, a competitor's listing age. The data differs at the margins, but the job is identical — they annotate Etsy while you look at it.

What none of that solves is the bottleneck most sellers actually hit. You know the product. You know roughly which keywords matter. What is not happening is the writing: 140 characters of title, thirteen tags, a description, for every listing, one at a time. A tool that hands you a keyword list has moved the problem, not removed it.

That is the split worth understanding before you install anything.

If you need research

EverBee is the most widely installed of these. Its extension surfaces estimated sales volume and revenue on listings as you browse, which is the fastest way to sanity-check whether a product category is actually moving. eRank is the deepest on keywords and has a genuinely usable free tier, which is why it is often the first tool a new seller installs.

Alura and Sale Samurai cover similar ground with different emphases — Alura leans toward finding product ideas, Sale Samurai toward long-tail keyword volume. EtsyHunt (now operating as EHunt) is built around a large product database and shop analysis.

One practical note: running several of these at once measurably slows Etsy pages, and they largely draw on the same signals. One is usually enough.

If you need the listing written

Two extensions do this. ListifyAI generates a title, 13 tags and a description from a product photo, and has a free tier of three listings a month.

ListsGenie does the same generation but completes it inside Etsy: you open the listing form, upload the product photo, and the generated title, tags and description are filled into Etsy’s own fields. Nothing is copied between tabs. It also generates in 10 languages, which matters if you sell into more than one Etsy market, and shows an SEO score before you publish.

Neither replaces research. Both remove the twenty minutes per listing that research tools leave on your plate.

💡 Which should you install?

Just starting and unsure what to sell: a research extension first — eRank’s free tier is the usual answer.

Product decided, listings piling up unwritten: a writing extension. That is the bottleneck research cannot touch.

Listing at volume, e.g. print-on-demand: a writing extension is not optional. Hundreds of designs mean hundreds of listings, and hand-writing does not scale to that.

Selling into several countries: check language support before you commit — most extensions generate English only.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best Chrome extension for Etsy sellers?
It depends which half of the job you need. For research — sales estimates, keyword volume, competitor data while you browse Etsy — EverBee and eRank are the established choices. For actually producing the listing, ListsGenie and ListifyAI are the two extensions that generate the title, tags and description rather than just showing you numbers.
Do Etsy Chrome extensions write listings for you?
Almost none of them do. EverBee, eRank, Alura, Sale Samurai and EtsyHunt are research tools: they overlay data on Etsy pages and leave the writing to you. ListsGenie and ListifyAI are the exceptions — both read a product photo and generate the title, all 13 tags and the description.
Is there a free Etsy Chrome extension?
Yes. eRank, EverBee, Alura and EtsyHunt all have free tiers with daily limits, and ListifyAI's free plan covers three listings a month. ListsGenie runs on a free trial rather than a permanent free tier. Free tiers on research tools are usually capped by searches per day.
Does the ListsGenie extension work inside Etsy?
Yes. It runs on the Etsy listing page itself: you upload the product photo, and the generated title, tags and description are filled into Etsy's own form. There is no copying between tabs, which is the main practical difference from generating text elsewhere and pasting it in.
How many Etsy Chrome extensions should I install?
One research extension and one writing extension covers the whole workflow. Running several research extensions at once slows Etsy pages down noticeably and they largely report the same underlying data.
Are Etsy Chrome extensions safe to install?
Check what permissions an extension requests before installing. A legitimate Etsy extension needs access to etsy.com pages and nothing more. Be cautious with any that request access to all sites, and prefer extensions with a visible developer, a privacy policy and recent updates.
